Ritual and Ceremony in Drum Making:

So you are ready to make your Ceremonial Medicine Drum!  The first step is discovering which Medicine you choose to invite into your Energy.

There is so much to think about when it comes time to add Sacred Sound to your tool box.  We will be working wtih tones and frequency, so size is important to consider.  You will want to know if you want a deep bass or a hand held drum for convenience.

Animal Medicine is specific.  Each Animal serves in it's own unique way.  For Example:

  • Elk for Generational Healing, Sexual Trauma, and interpersonal relationships of same sex dynamics (sister, brother,)
  • Horse is for liberty and capturing that sense of unbrildled freedom
  • Cow is nurturing and assists with the cycles of life
  • Bear teaches us to retreat, assists with grief, represents tribe
  • Buffalo is our determination and our fortitude as well as our provision (into the storm! the Charge!) for renewed vigor
  • Deer is abundance, heart centered, vulnerability
  • Ocean Drums are the medicine for soothing, healing waters of life

We work with Frequency and channel thematic intent during the making. Each drum speaks not only through sound, but also the Animal Medicine in specifc.  Each drum deepens its efficacy with added  colors, tones, sigils, adornment, time of day and cycle of the moon too deepen your connection with your drum.  Each is unique in all the world.  All things are done in a sacred way within ritual and sacred space.
